Parents of the bride are Mr. Michael Rogers and Ms. Dana Rogers, both of Thomson. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Akers, Sr. of Thomson.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Wayne and Edna Rogers of Thomson and the late Jimmy and Pat Rabun of Thomson. Grandparents of the groom are the late William Harrison and Cora Prather of Thomson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Akers, Sr. of Alabama.
The bride chose Leslie Rogers, sister-in-law of the bride, as her matron of honor. Corena Akers, sister of the groom, Krista Purvis, Morgan Clark, Marcie Rivers and Casey Brooks, all friends of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Lexie Rogers, niece of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid.
The groom chose Bobby Akers, Sr., father of groom, as his best man. Chris Rogers, brother of bride; Brandon Akers, brother of groom; Heath Clark, Sammy Purvis, Jammie Smith, Kyle Willingham, Austin Rushing, and Clint Rushing, all friends of the bride and groom, served as groomsmen.
The flower girl was Lanie Rogers, niece of the bride.
The guest register attendant(s) were Cynthia Taylor and Terry Hagan.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Thomson Moose Lodge.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee the couple resides in Thomson.
