MOVE ON WHEN READY ACT & DUAL ENROLLMENT
WHERE: Thomson High School
FOR MORE INFO: In compliance with Georgia's Move On When Ready Act, Thomson High School informs parents of rising juniors and seniors that multiple dual and joint enrollment opportunities are available with local colleges and technical schools. MOWR is a new dual enrollment opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to receive high school credit and college credit simultaneously while attending college classes on the college campus, full-time. Approved college on-line courses can also be taken that meet high school graduation requirements. Other dual and joint enrollment options, such as the ACCEL program, which allows students to take courses on a college campus on a part-time basis, still remain available to Thomson High students. Students interested in pursuing one of these options for next school year must meet with their assigned school counselor to discuss admissions requirements, high school eligibility and graduation requirements, and financial aid procedures prior to May 20, 2010. More information is available by contacting the student's guidance counselor at 706-986-4222.
