Mr. Welton "Chuck" Holley
WRENS, Ga. - Mr. Welton "Chuck" Holley, 81, loving
husband of 58 years to Mildred Arrington Holley, entered into
his eternal home on Monday, May 17, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services were held in the James Funeral Home
Chapel on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John
Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Wrens Memorial
Cemetery. Born to the late Annie Prescott and Park Holley,
Chuck was a life-long resident of Jefferson County. After 31
years of service, he retired from Georgia Kaolin. Chuck was
a past deacon and a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.
He loved farming and his cows. A man of few words, Chuck
was a kind, wonderful man-a faithful husband, devoted father,
adoring grandfather and loyal friend. Chuck is also preceded
in death by five siblings, Ada Hood, Doretha Hood, Mildred
Cowart, Agnes Aldridge and William J. Holley. His survivors
include five children, Larry Holley, Alan Holley (Debbie),
Janet Parker (Billy) Wrightsville Ga., Tommy Holley (DeAnn)
Mitchell Ga., and Cathy Tiner (Ronny); three siblings, Henry
Holley (Gloria) Augusta, Eva Hobbs and Barbara Crutfield
(Forrest) both of Thomson; ten grandchildren, Adam Holley,
Victoria Parker, Jessica Murphy, Amy Holley, Joshua Holley,
Joseph Parker, Curtis Tiner, Lee Holley, Leslie Holley and
Daniel Tiner; one great-granddaughter, Emma Ruth Murphy;
and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Adam Holley, Joshua Holley, Joseph
Parker, Curtis Tiner, Lee Holley, Daniel Tiner, Terry Brooks
and Bryan Rabun.
