Mr. Charles E. Ivey, Sr.,

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest at his residence on May 19, 2010, Mr. Charles E. Ivey, Sr., of Augusta, Ga. He was the son of the late Wyke C. Ivey, Sr. and Dorothy W. Ivey. He was the owner of the Ivey's Flea Market and Ivey's Mobile Home Park. He had retired from Austin Furniture Co. in Athens. He lived in Augusta and Athens. He was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and an active member of Whiteoak United Methodist Campground in Thomson. Survivors include: two sons, Charles Eddy Ivey, Jr. (Betty Ann), Gainesville, Ga., Kenneth W. Ivey (Deborah), Augusta, Ga.; three daughters, Dorothy Charlynn Ivey Nickles, Augusta, Darlynn R. Ivey Bradley (John), Augusta, Cynthia A. Ivey Phillips, Augusta; fiance, Doris Haralson, her children, Beth, Lisa, Lynn; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Dewain French officiating. Pallbearers: John Bradley, Jr., John Ivey, Kevin Brooks, Monty Cochran, Edward Lucas, Floyd Castle, Tre' Ensley, and Donald Phillips, Jr. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Whiteoak Campground, P.O. Box 1834, Thomson, Ga. 30824 or to St. Joseph Foundation/Trinity Hospice, P.O. Box 31358, Augusta, Ga. 30903. Thomas L. King Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
