We have completed the most successful mentoring year we have ever had as a county. That only happened because of the amazing teamwork on everyone's behalf.
The goal of our program is to help educators, families and students by partnering with community members to help with any additional needs that may be unfulfilled at home or take a special interest in a particular child.
We have seen so many wonderful results from the mentoring program this year, including a grandmother saying that her grandson had made a complete change since having a mentor, and Assistant Principal Neal Tam stating that a student had not been back in his office for behavior problems since being assigned to a mentor.
It is truly a lot of time and coordination that is involved in making the program successful which is why we thank you for all of your support.
Start now trying to find more people to become mentors for next year.
We can never have too many.
A huge thank you goes to Domino's Pizza for providing the pizza for all the Mentor Celebrations that we did at every school recently.
The celebrations allowed all the mentors and mentees to come together to say thank you for making a difference.
As we begin looking towards next year, please send us feedback, suggestions or further needs that you may have so that we can work together to create an even better mentoring program next school year.
Thanks again to all of you that helped make a such huge difference this year.
Specifically, a huge thanks goes to our Mentoring Coordinator, Nancy Shelton.
Thanks again for being a true Partner for Success!!!
