Mr. Richard M. Baker
Born in Statesboro Ga., Rick spent the first 22 years of his
adult life serving his country in the US Navy. After retiring
from the Navy as a Senior Chief Sonar Technician, he went
on to have a second successful career and ultimately retired
as a program manager at Lockheed Martin to spend more
time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Lampha Baker; two sons,
Rand and Glen Baker; three daughters, Stacy Harrell,
Sarina Smith and Krisna Gusterer; one sister, Gail Orlaski,
and many grandchildren, as well as other relatives and close
friends.
A Buddhist prayer service was held on June 3 at 4 p.m.
at Oman Funeral Home in Chesapeake, Va. Internment
ceremony was held at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial
Veterans Cemetery on June 4.
