Tammy Lynn Gay and Joseph Daniel Ashley, both of Thomson, were married May 8, 2010, at the Dearing Full Gospel Church. Jerry Rockefeller officiated at the 11 a.m. ceremony.

Tammy is the daughter of Tina Gay Newsome and the late Travis Gay. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Gay Whitaker and the late Grady Gay and Larry Luke and Beth Luke Broome.

Joe is the son of Claude and Becky Ashley of Thomson. He is the grandson of Julia Wilson Ansley and the late Paul Wilson Sr. and Myrtis Ashley and the late Claude Ashley Sr., all of Thomson. He is employed with Phillips Clearing and Grading.

Given in marriage by her brother, Dylan, Tammy chose her sisters as attendants: Wendy as maid of honor and Elizabeth as bridesmaid. Their son, Joseph Travis Ashley, was ring bearer and flower girls were Amber, daughter of the bride, and Abby, cousin of the bride.

The groom chose his father to be his best man. Groomsmen were Dylan, brother of the bride, and David, brother of the groom.

The song "When God Made You" was sung by David, brother of the groom, and Mary Luke, grandmother of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
