A 35-year-old Thomson woman is facing theft charges after she reportedly stole prescription medication from the residence of another woman, police say.
Investigator Capt. Jamie Bridges of the Thomson Police Department identified the suspect as Callie Blackburn, of County Inn Apartments. Ms. Blackburn was arrested last Wednesday and later charged with two counts of theft by taking, Capt. Bridges said.
She was taken to the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center following her arrest.
Ms. Blackburn is accused of having stolen drugs belonging to Mary Boone last month, according to a report filed by Thomson Police Sgt. Willie Williams.
