Mr. John Beazley Sisson
Retired State Meat Inspector
THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. John Beazley Sisson, 90, beloved
husband of Mrs. Bennie Lee Sisson, passed away June 17,
2010 at University Hospital.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19,
in Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Beverly Casstevens
officiating.
Mr. Sisson was a native of Crawfordville. He joined the
Presbyterian Church of Crawfordville when he was 12 years
old. Mr. Sisson went to school at A.S.I. in Crawfordville
and attended North Georgia College. In 1944, Mr. Sisson
married Mrs. Bennie Lee Hatcher of Thomson and moved
to Thomson in 1952. He was a retired meat inspector for
the state. He was a member of the Thomson First United
Methodist Church and was a member of the J.O.Y. Sunday
School Class. He was a WWII Veteran and a Master
Mason.
Mr. Sisson was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. John
Larkin Sisson and Mrs. Herschal Beazley Sisson and a sister,
Mary Marie Gilmer.
Survivors include his wife, Bennie Lee Hatcher Sisson,
Thomson; his daughter, Sandra Lee Thompson and her
husband Larry E. Thompson, both of Thomson; his son,
John H. Sisson, Thomson; his grandchildren, Elizabeth
J. Sisson, John Hatcher Sisson, Jr., Amy L. Beckham,
Lee Anna Meadows, Mary Kathryn Aycox; and his greatgrandchildren,
Lauren Elizabeth Beckham, Mary Bennett
Sisson, and Anna Kathryn Aycox.

Thomson First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
