Mrs. Rebie Palmer Purvis

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Rebie Palmer Purvis, 88, widow
of Mr. Ralph Purvis, died Friday, June 18, 2010.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22,
in the Zoar United Methodist Church with Dr. Randy
Dunaway and Rev. Mike Defore officiating. Burial was in
the Church cemetery.
Mrs. Purvis was a native of Warren Co., but had lived in
Thomson for many years. She was a member of Zoar United
Methodist Church and the Woodman of the World. Mrs.
Purvis was passionate and loved to crochet.
Survivors include her daughter, Bernice Arnold, Riverside
California; her son, Wilbur Purvis, Thomson; her two
sisters, Myrtle Rabun, Thomson; June (Ray) Honeycutt,
Warrenton; her grandchildren, Sammy (Krista) Purvis,
Sean Arnold, Lance Arnold, Rex Arnold, and her greatgrandchildren,
Cody Purvis, Jackson Purvis, and several
other great-grandchildren in California.
Pallbearers were G.F. Benson, Cody Purvis, Johnny
Rabun, Timmie Rabun, Ronnie Raburn, Jimmy Rabun,
Junior Thompson, Lamar Massey, Joey Purvis, Warren
Kitchens, and Carl C. Bowman.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
