President is ignoring will of the people

To the Editor:

Is there anyone out there asking the same questions that I am? For starters, why does someone run for the office of President of the United States of America if he, in fact, finds the greatness of our country contemptible? This President has expressed, on a number of occasions, his disappointment with our policies, our history, and our generosity to others. He seems to go out of his way to avoid singing our praises. He doesn't remind other countries of our sacrifices and our outreach to them in times of need. Sure, there have been mistakes on our part throughout history, but overall most Americans take pride in our compassion and aid to others.

How can someone who takes an oath to defend and protect our Constitution, yet through his actions and words seems to pride himself in his ability to usurp the very tenets of our Constitution?

Why is it that one of the governments' obligations, to protect our borders, seems to have fallen by the wayside? It is a disgrace for our President to criticize the actions of the people of Arizona to protect their border. Still another example of this man's lack of support for the rights of the people of this great country.

This man and his administration continue to ignore the will of the people. John Kerry claims there is a "comprehensive gap." Us little people, here in fly-over country, just can't understand and appreciate how smart they are, and we can't be trusted to make our own decisions. They want to control of everything in our lives and don't understand why we are standing in their way.

I for one, will continue to stand in their way, and in anyone else's way who is determined to unravel the values, traditions and morality of the United States of America.

This President and his minions want us all to believe they know what's best for us. They have shown they are not in favor of a free market society, nor do they require personal responsibility of themselves or others. They seem to be advocating that we either work for the government or live off the government. For me, each day is bringing more and more questions to mind about the intentions of this President and his forced policies.
