Mr. Harold L. Phipps
Mr. Harold L. Phipps, 70, of Cameron, died Monday, June
28, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
He was born on November 1, 1939 in Sandlick, West
Virginia to the late George Phipps and Mamie Miller Phipps.
Mr. Phipps was a landscape designer for many years and
currently worked for Republic Waste Services on Brooks-
Mangum Road in Cameron.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Phipps was preceded in
death by his wife Linda Kay Phipps and siblings; Jesse, Frank,
Grover, John Henry, Barney, Joe, Lacy, Earl, Ermagene, Anna
Mae, Mary Lee, Frankie June and Virgie.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela Phipps Shields of
Cameron and Sandra Phipps Wooten and husband, James of
Versailles, Ohio; siblings, Charles of West Milton, OH; Carl
of Denver, CO; Margie of West Milton, OH and Susie of
Jacksonville, OH; and six (6) grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Thursday, July 1 at 4 p.m. at
Hillmon Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Arnold
presiding. Burial followed Saturday, July 3, 11 a.m. at Faith
Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomson, beside his late wife.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Mr.
Phipps memory.
