APPLING, Ga. - Funeral service for Deacon Estus
McCladdie, 78, of Appling, was held on Saturday, July
10, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Lampkin Grove Baptist Church,
Appling, with Pastor, Rev. Charlie Wright, Jr., eulogist.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce (Floyd) Curry,
Kiara Bell, all of Appling, and Fannie (James Evans) Burns,
Augusta; a goddaughter, Rosalyn McCladdie, Augusta; a
brother, Clinton (Doris) McCladdie, Appling; 5 sisters-inlaw,
Doris McCladdie, Sulbia (John) Luke, Rheba Dent, all
of Appling, Robbie Ashley, Augusta, and Mattie Hampton,
Grovetown; 2 brothers-in-law, James Smith, Augusta, and
Roosevelt Burns, Appling; seven grandchildren, Floyd
Curry, Jr., Cedric Curry, Jasmine Curry, Tammy Curry,
Kenny Burns, Pamela Jean Burns, and Stanley Burns; 20
great-grandchildren; two special cousins, Deacon James
Benning, and Mary Johnson, both of Appling; a special
nephew, Donald Estus McCladdie, Appling; a host of greatgreat-
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
