A Thomson man recently was arrested on charges that he stole an I-pod and sold it for $10 to a boy for crack cocaine, authorities say.
Investigator Capt. Jamie Bridges of the Thomson Police Department said Mark Kendricks, 44, of the 600 block of Ellington Avenue, was charged with theft by taking.
He was jailed in the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center.
The I-pod, valued at $220, was stolen from a jewelry box belonging to the grandson of the suspect's sister, Capt. Bridges said.
