26 trials are set for Aug. 9

A total of 26 defendants are set for misdemeanor jury trials in McDuffie County Superior Court on Monday, Aug. 9.

Among the cases to be heard by Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Harold A. Hinesley are several defendants who face charges ranging from drugs to disorderly conduct, court records show.

The following defendants are expected to appear in court on these charges:

Commoder Dewey Howell, disorderly conduct;

Devaris Demingo Hampton, simple battery;

Timothy Jerome Carlton, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGSCA) for possession of marijuana;

Wayne Broome, theft by taking;

Tahavious Bouthry, driving while license suspended;

James E. Banks, Jr., disorderly conduct;

Rodney Clay Helmick, simple battery;

Robert Coleman Quarles, simple battery and criminal trespass;

Tiffany Marie Sallywhite, simple battery;

Toni Marie Borden, theft by taking and obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Quentin Rashad Clemons, harassing phone calls;

Keymore Lee Hudson, criminal trespass;

Roy Harloam, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Dennis McNair, theft by shoplifting;

Robert Michael Moon, pointing a gun or pistol at another;

Pierre Andreus Mance, carrying a concealed weapon;

Antonio Stanford, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, driving under the influence, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, speeding and failure to stop for a stop sign;

Coderro Deandre Johnson, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Jasmine Julia Richards, theft by shoplifting;

Shanquett Monique Walker, disorderly conduct;

Phillip Arceneaux, VGCSA for possession of marijuana and possession of a drug related object;

Carla Ruth Ford, VGCSA for possession of marijuana, possession of a drug related object and reckless conduct;

Charlie Mose Myrick, criminal trespass;

Mario Makenzie Smith, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Mitchell Walden Hall, criminal trespass;

Evelyn J. Grindle, one count of issuing a bad check.
