Mrs. Jean Griswell
Social Worker
DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Jean Griswell, 69 of Dearing, entered
into rest July 13, 2010, at her residence. She was the beloved wife
of Gerald Griswell.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m., July 17, 2010 at Bethel
Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating.
Mrs. Griswell was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, and
was the daughter of the late Richard C. Edwards and the late
Margrette Anderson Edwards. She was retired from Lake Crossing
Health Care as a social worker. She was previously employed by
Warrenton Health & Rehabilitation and Uniroyal. Mrs. Griswell
was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald D. Griswell; daughter,
Judy Sahm and husband Michael of Covington, GA; son,
Ricky Welch of Wrightsville, GA; brother, Jimmy Edwards of
Thomson; grandchildren, Travis Schrump, Michael Schrump,
Allie Hernandez, Hope Welch and Brian Welch; and five greatgrandchildren.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
