Mrs. Mary Frances Davis Hyman
Retired Warren County Clerk of Superior Court
NORWOOD, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Frances Davis
Hyman, 74 of Norwood, entered into rest July
12, 2010 at her residence. She was the beloved
wife of the late Byron Wesley Hyman.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday,
July 15, 2010 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Mike Dann officiating. Interment
followed at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Joe Peebles, John Graham, Jim McMichael,
Larry Rachels, Wally Thigpen and Josh Brooks.
Mrs. Hyman was a native of McDuffie County, but lived in
the Cadley Community since 1981. She was the daughter of the
late William Odell Davis and the late Mary Inez Hobbs Davis.
She retired after serving as the Superior Court Clerk for Warren
County, and had served as a long time deputy clerk for McDuffie
County Superior Court. Mrs. Hyman was previously employed
by Southern Bell and Jefferson Energy. She was also a member of
Warrenton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Cathy H. Williams and
husband Ronald of Norwood, Karen Hyman (James McGahee) of
Thomson, Melissa H. Callaway and husband Mike of Warrenton;
brothers, Wendell Davis( Betty) of Thomson, Phil Davis (Vicki) of
Martinez; sisters, Phyllis Shedd (A.T.) , Doris Reese (Roy) both of
Thomson; two grandchildren, Brandy Williams Johnson (Steve)
and Wyatt Michael Callaway; step-grandchildren, Lauren Johnson
and Phillips Johnson.
Mrs. Hyman was preceded in death by a brother, David Walter
"Junior" Davis and a sister, Barbara Shelton.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of
Alliance Hospice and special caregivers, Jean Carroll and Audrey
Harlemon.
