18 Superior Court bench trials set for Aug. 12

A total of 18 defendants are slated for bench trials before Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Harold A. Hinesley in McDuffie County Superior Court on Thursday, Aug. 12. The misdemeanor cases include:

David Carl Stalnaker, Jr., vehicle homicide in the second degree and weaving over roadway;

Leo Collins Strickland, III, driving under the influence, driving under the influence less safe and driving on a suspended license;

Akanksha Rashai Black, driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane and Violation of the Open Container Law;

Tony Maurice Anderson, Jr., Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances (VGCSA) for possession of marijuana and sound violation;

Debra Lynn McNair, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Marie Crawford, 10 counts of Violation of the Georgia Employment Security Law;

Tarnisha Nelson, eight counts of the Violation of the Georgia Employment Security Law;

Ezekiel C. Singleton, driving under the influence and driving under the influence/less safe;

Tamarcus H. Callaway, disorderly conduct;

Steve Allen Chaney, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Benjamin Eli Dedrick, reckless conduct;

Beth Ann Dedrick, reckless conduct;

Richard Turner Lee Tice, disorderly conduct;

Shane Preston Crumbly, theft by taking;

Christina Monique Jordan, giving false information to a law enforcement officer and driving without a license;

Dennis James Davis, simple battery;

Sheila Elizabeth Hathcock, theft by taking; and

James Bouttry, Jr., obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
