Seventeen defendants have decided to have their cases heard by a judge rather than a jury in McDuffie County Superior Court on Friday, Aug. 13.
The fate of their misdemeanor cases will rest with Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Harold A. Hinesley.
Billy Gene Sturkey, driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, failure to maintain lane, Violation of the Open Container Law and driving on the wrong side of the road;
Donald Wesley Parker, driving under the influence and failure to yield when entering roadway;
Antuan Trammell Johnson, carrying a concealed weapon, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and safety belt violations;
Randy Lewis Norris, carrying a concealed weapon;
Allison Denice Windley, issuing a bad check;
Monique Chanta Burnett, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;
Thomas Allen Wolfe, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;
Jerrell Jackson McDonald, pointing a gun at another;
Kevin Christopher Allman, two counts of theft of services;
Wesley Thomas Willingham, obstruction of a law enforcement and two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor;
Tyrone Delano Clanton, five counts of issuing bad checks;
Wayne Calhoun, Jr., disorderly conduct;
Dana Banks, affray;
Teresa Lynn Boatwright, contributing to unruliness of a minor;
Billy Youngblood, affray;
Lonnie Franklin Shuman, theft by taking; and
Sherene Nicole Moss, two counts of simple battery.
