Mrs. Ida Lee Driver
DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Ida Lee Driver, 72, wife of Doug L. Driver
entered into rest Saturday, July 31, 2010, at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 4,
2010, at the Faith Baptist Church, Thomson, with the Rev. Don
Widener officiating. Interment was in the Dearing Memorial
Cemetery, Dearing.
Mrs. Driver was a native of Columbia County and a resident of
Dearing. She retired as an office manager with Industrial Risk
Insurers. Mrs. Driver was a member of Faith Baptist Church in
Thomson.
Survivors include her husband, Doug L. Driver; one son,
Steve D. (Vena) Driver, Denver, CO; three brothers, Luther (Pat)
Connor, Jr., Hiawassee, GA, Ned H. ( Julie) Connor, Dearing,
and George B. (Penny) Connor, Augusta; three sisters, Connie
Hill, Dearing, Jonnie Murphy, Martinez, and Gloria Crosby,
Grovetown. She is also survived by three grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Timothy Brassell, Parker Land, David
Connor, Don Rose, Kevin Burnley and Chad Widener.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society ,
Breast Awareness, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
