Information regarding Back To School that previously appeared on The Mirror's website was wrong, because the information was not deleted from last year. *The first day of school is actually Thursday, Aug. 19 for students in the McDuffie County School System.
*Open house is Tuesday, Aug. 17:
From 4-6 p.m. for all elementary schools - (Norris Elementary has been relocated to the old Thomson Middle School building across from the Brickyard on Main Street)
From 5-7 p.m. for Thomson-McDuffie Middle School (6-8th grades at the former junior high school building on White Oak Road across from the high school).
From 6-8 p.m. at Thomson High School (9th - 12th grades).
Open House for school system employees to visit their child's school is Aug. 18.
