THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Alice T. Osborne, 86, widow of
Mr. Wayne E. Osborne, of Thomson, died Sunday, August 8,
2010, at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August
11, in the Sweetwater Baptist Church with Rev. Grant
Cantrell officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Osborne was a native of Washington County, but
had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker
and had worked at the Thomson Co. and Garland. She was a
member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church. She was a loving
mother and grandmother, who loved her grandchildren very
much. She also loved to cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E.
Osborne and two sons, Wiley and Warren Osborne.
Survivors include her four daughters, Alice Griffin,
Ashville, N.C., Donna K. Clarke, Hephzibah, Charlene
Brown, Thomson, and Karen Osborne, Thomson; her three
sons, Wayne Osborne Jr., Wade Osborne, and Darwin
Osborne, all of Thomson; 14 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Griffin, Michael Griffin, Buddy
Dallas, Ronnie Miller, Derick Martin, and Billy Ray
Owens.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
