Mrs. Katherine 'Katie' Burch Riner
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Katherine 'Katie' Burch Riner, 87,
wife of the late Preston Almarine Riner, entered into rest
Friday, August 20, 2010.
Mrs. Riner was born in Thomson, and was a lifelong
resident of Augusta. She was a member of First Augusta
Primitive Baptist Church. She retired after 40 years as
founder and owner of Southgate Florist.
Family members include a son, Preston Wayne Riner of
Alpharetta, GA; daughter, the late Arline Kathy Oellerich;
grandchildren: Christopher Robert Oellerich, Amanda
Arline Oellerich, Preston Wayne (P.J.) Riner, Jr.; and greatgrandchild,
John Edward Vigil. Funeral services were held
Monday, August 23, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of
Thomas Poteet & Son with Elder Max Hicks officiating.
Interment followed at Westover Memorial Park.
Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors was in charge of
arrangements.
