Mrs. Johnnie Faye Brooks
THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Johnnie Faye Brooks, 91
entered into rest August 30, 2010 at Thomson Health &
Rehabilitation. She was the beloved wife of the late Boyd L.
Brooks.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September
1, 2010 at Marshall Baptist Church with Revs. John Prater,
Don Reeves and Earl Carter officiating. Interment followed
in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandson's Michael K. Lloyd, John Stacey
Maxwell and Mitchell Clay Lloyd, great-grandson's James C.
Lloyd, William D. Lloyd and David Brooks Lloyd.
Mrs. Brooks was native of Tillman County, Oklahoma and
lived in this area for over 37 years. She was the daughter of
the late Willis Burk and the late Irene Brown Burk. Mrs.
Brooks was a homemaker and a member of Marshall Baptist
Church.
Survivors include her children, James Brooks, Dearing,
Glenda Lloyd, Thomson, Sue Johnson (Ronald), Beech
Island, SC, eight grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren
and two great-great- grandchildren.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
