Mrs. Alta R. Neal
HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Alta R. Neal, 68, wife of the late
Augustus Neal, entered into rest Tuesday, August 24, 2010,
at her residence.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 27, 2010, at 2
p.m. at Starling Funeral Home. Interment followed in South
Harlem Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Neal was born in Yuma, Arizona to the late Mr. and
Mrs. Elza Goines and was the owner of the Home Away From
Home Personal Care Home. She was a Christian lady who
dedicated her life to caring for the elderly and specialized in
the care of Alzheimer's and Dementia patients.
Survivors include one son, Lonnie Thomas Shuman,
Harlem; one daughter, Dianna Sue Chitty, Harlem; one
brother Vernon D. Goines, Yuma, AZ; one sister Juanita
G. Haddock, Flagstaff, AZ; and four grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.
Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
