Mr. William Robert "Bobby" Smith
Retired Truck Driver
LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mr. William Robert "Bobby" Smith, 69, of
Louisville, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father, and
received his new body on Sunday morning September 5, 2010.
Funeral services celebrating the home going were held 11:00 AM
Saturday, September 11, 2010, in the Louisville Church of God with
Rev. David Severance officiating. Burial followed in the family plot
in the Coleman's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Wadley
with full military honors.
Pallbearers were nephews, Ricky Davis, Gerald Davis, Rocky
Gilmore, Stony Gilmore, Bryan Smith, and Jeff Staffard.
A native of Savannah, GA, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Willie
Bob and Mary Anglin Smith. Bobby was a U.S. Army Veteran
proudly serving for more than 20 years. He was a log truck driver
and a member of Louisville Church of God. Bobby was an avid
Georgia Bulldog fan who loved his family and his church family.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Deborah
Woodside Smith and is survived by a son, William Robert "Robby"
Smith, Jr. and wife Ana of Hawthorne, CA; daughters, Rebecca
Pauley and husband, David of Sarasota, FL; Janelle Alexander of
Williston, FL; Jeanette Herrington and husband Sam of Thomson;
brother, Walter Smith and wife Janice of Wadley; sister, Elizabeth
Davis and husband Herbert of
Louisville; 11 grandchildren:
Tara, Jessica, Leslie, Jonathon,
Phillip, Dalton, Laurence,
Rebecca, Trevor, Emilee, and
Taylor, several nieces, nephews,
cousins and his church family at
Louisville Church of God.
