Students at Thomson Elementary School formed the words "NFL PLAY 60" as part of their entry in the NFL Play 60 contest. Sponsored by the National Football League, schools nationwide participated in the contest by submitting essays and photos of their students showing spirit for their favorite NFL team. Thirty-four schools will be selected as winners and receive a visit from an NFL player and a $10,000 health and wellness grant. Thomson Elementary students all dressed in Atlanta Falcons colors and enjoyed football themed activities throughout the day. At left, Thomson Elementary Assistant Principal Gwendolyn Nipple gets ready to lead students in a cheer from high in the sky during NFL Play 60 day last Friday.
