85th Birthday
Marcy Pilgrim, Mother of 11, celebrated her 85th birthday Saturday Sept. 11, 2010. Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren surprised Mrs. Marcy Pilgrim Saturday for her 85th birthday at the Queen of Angels' fellowship hall. Not counting Marcy's 11 children, her family has grown by 85. She was showered with flowers, cards and gifts. Her three tiered birthday cake, which was decorated with blue hydrangeas, one of Marcy's favorite flowers, was made by her granddaughter, Bridgett Powers. A video was shown throughout the day of pictures that were taken of Memaw (as the grandchildren refer to her) and friends and family through the years. Family and friends came from as far away as Florida and Louisville, Kentucky, Mrs. Pilgrim's hometown, to celebrate her birthday.
