Registration for Cub Scouts will be held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30 at Norris Elementary School on Main Street in Thomson. Cub Scouts is for boys in first through fifth grades. Cub Scouting is a family centered program. It is important that parents attend the meeting with their son.
The purposes of Cub Scouting include: character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship, fitness, family understanding, respectable relationships, personal achievement, friendly service, fun and adventure.
Registration fee is $10. A $6 subscription to Boy's Life Magazine is optional. A recent survey rated Boy's Life the number one magazine in the country over all other children's magazines.
