Mrs. LuVictoria Hawes Reid
APPLING, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. LuVictoria Hawes Reid,
99, of Appling, was held on Friday, September 24, 2010, at 2 p.m.,
at Second Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Appling, with Pastor, Rev.
Echols Miller, Officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include three biological children, Gertrude Gordon,
Catherine (Bobby) Garnett, and Elizabeth (Arthur) Bennett;
three adopted children, Margie Bussey, Edward (Stella) Reid, and
Rodriquez (Ron) Reid; a devoted daughter-in-law, Lillian Reid;
two sisters-in-law, Carrie Wilkes, and Ruth Hawes; a step-sister;
three step-brothers; 20 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren;
two great-great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
