Mr. Benny Lewis Clark

SPARTA, Ga. - Mr. Benny Lewis Clark, age 69, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010. Funeral Services were held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11a.m. graveside in Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Burt Mauldin and Rev. Alan McCoy officiating. Mr. Clark was a native and lifelong resident of Hancock County. He was the son of the late Warren Edward Clark and Enda Clark. Mr. Clark worked for J.P. Stevens, later Fortsman, as a weaver. He enjoyed hunting and gardening, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He is survived by his sisters Barbara (Milton) Goldman of Thomson; Lilymae Capehart, Joann (Ben) Harned, and Kay Clark all of Sandersville, and Ruthie (Randy) Sheley of Davisboro; brothers Willie (Gwen) Clark of Milledgeville, Ed Clark, and Jerry (Mary Ann) Clark all of Sparta; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to John Hancock Academy. Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville was in charge of arrangements.
