Mrs. Ruth Slaton Tinsley

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, in
the Thomson First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating.
Burial was private.
Mrs. Tinsley was a native of Calhoun Falls, S.C., but had lived in
Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
She was a member of Thomson
First Baptist Church. She
was preceded in death by her
husband, her parents, Olin and
Bertha Slaton, a sister, Lillian
Mullenix, and two brothers,
J.W. Slaton and William
Slaton.
Survivors include her
daughter, Mrs. Linda (Jimmy)
Poston, Thomson; her grandson,
Jay (Kelli Hanson) Poston,
Thomson; her granddaughter,
Amy (Mark) Jenkins, Thomson;
her two great-grandsons, Drue
Poston (12) and Lansing Jenkins
(5), both of Thomson; and her
three great- granddaughters,
Sibyl Ruth Poston (9), Martha
Kate Jenkins (8) and Mary
Tinsley Jenkins (6), all of
Thomson; and two caregivers,
Flordia Bell McNair, Patricia
Durham.
Donations may be made to the
Thomson First Baptist Church
Family Life Center.
Curtis Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
