Country singers give to local people in need

Country singers Kate, Lindsay and Emily Anderton, of Nashville, stopped in Thomson last week as part of a radio tour. The mother/daughter trio known as Lucy Angel sang on WTHO radio last Thursday morning during Steve Ferguson's show.

Lucy Angel has been performing since 2003, and currently is promoting their newly released single "Only Woman Left" off their self-titled Lucy Angel EP.

Mr. Ferguson reminisced with the trio of their previous trip to Thomson in 2006.

"I didn't think it could be possible, but y'all sound even better now than you did then," Mr. Ferguson said.

Lucy Angel members said they like to give back to the community and help families in need everywhere they go. In Thomson, they presented a check for $50 to MANNA food bank. They also donated an autographed pink guitar to WTHO to be auctioned off for Susan G. Komen Foundation/breast cancer research. Mr. Ferguson said listeners can tune in for the auction "sometime in the coming weeks."
