A Thomson couple is facing burglary charges following the recent break-in of a storage building.
McDuffie County Sheriff's Department Investigator Larry Adaway identified the suspects as:
Samantha Jeffery, 24, of the 300 block of Bussey Avenue; and
Bobby "Junior" Ivey, 57, of the 900 block of Old Washington Road.
The couple is each charged with one count of burglary, Investigator Adaway said.
They are accused of breaking into a storage building and stealing a metal cabinet and other metal items. The items belonged to Robbie Smith Norris, who lives on the 1900 block of Wrightsboro Road near Thomson.
The couple was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 30 by Warren County Sheriff's Department Deputy Sammie Purvis.
Warren County authorities also are probing a case against the pair.
The items were taken to a salvage metal business in Warren County where they were sold.
The suspects are jailed in the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center in Thomson. Bond for them was set at $5,000 each, Investigator Adaway said.
