Man, juvenile arrested for Earle Street break-in

A Thomson man and a 16-year-old recently were arrested in connection with a residential break-in.

McDuffie County Sheriff's Department Investigator Larry Adaway identified one of the suspects as Curtavious Bonner, 19, of the 900 block of Old Washington Road. The juvenile's name was not released.

Mr. Bonner and the teenager were each charged with one count of burglary. Bond was set at $20,000 in the case against Mr. Bonner during a bond hearing before McDuffie County Chief Magistrate William Bryant Swan, Jr.

He still was jailed at the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center in Thomson last Thursday, according to a jail spokeswoman.

The juvenile is being held in the Youth Development Center in Augusta. The suspects were arrested on Oct. 29.

The pair is accused of breaking into the residence of Veronica Cunningham on the 900 block of Earle Street the day before authorities arrested them.

Stolen from the residence was a laptop, other electronic items and assorted jewelry.
