Two Thomson men recently were arrested as suspects in a residential burglary case, local authorities say.
Thomson Police Chief Joseph D. Nelson identified the suspects as Marquavious Mims, of the 200 block of Victory Lane, and Kwane Lampkin, 19, of the 200 block of First Avenue. Each has been each charged with one count of burglary.
They were jailed in the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center after being taken into custody.
Officer Rod Rodriquez responded to a residential burglary call about 2:37 a.m. on Dec. 11, police records show. The officer said he spoke with a resident who said she and her husband had left the home in the 200 block of First Avenue about 6 the night before. Upon returning, they discovered that their home had been burglarized.
Stolen was a 32-inch Sylvania television set, a black Bumble Bee pillow set, a box of .22-caliber bullets and two camouflaged jackets, Officer Rodriquez said.
