Georgia Power has completed a series of public meetings about a proposed 55-mile transmission line.
Konswello J. Monroe, a media relations representative for the company, said in an e-mail that 27 people attended the final meeting on Dec. 14 at the Wrens Community House.
Before the meetings began Dec. 2, the company mailed notices to owners of land that will be affected by the line, which will begin at Plant Vogtle near Waynesboro in Burke County and end at the Thomson Primary Substation in McDuffie County.
Affected landowners who have questions about the project may contact Georgia Power at (404) 506-5000.
The line will affect 44 property owners in McDuffie County, 96 in Burke County, 39 in Jefferson County and nine in Warren County.
