Mrs. Betty Hooten Wallace

Madison, Georgia- Mrs. Betty Hooten Wallace, 87, entered into rest December 13, 2010 at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold W. Wallace, Jr. Funeral services were held from the graveside at 3 p.m. Friday, December 17, 20l0, at the Madison Cemetery in Madison, Georgia, with Dr. Gary Cecil officiating. Mrs. Wallace was born in LaGrange, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Paul Jones Hooten and the late Loette Rebecca Caswell Hooten. She was a homemaker, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. An avid golfer as well as gardener, Mrs. Wallace was also an active member of Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. In addition she was a member of the Madison Presbyterian Church in Madison. Survivors include her sons, Harold W. "Chip" Wallace, III and wife Nancy of Thomson, Richard Paul Wallace and wife Rebecca of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Harold Whitney Wallace, IV and wife Mina, Kimberly Elizabeth Wallace, Courtney Wallace Frick and husband, Matthew, Jennifer Nicole Buckley and husband, Keith, Michelle Loette Wallace, Lauren Annalyse Wallace; and great-grandchild, Novi Loette May Buckley. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Disabled Veterans Organization at PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or online at www.dav.org . Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
