Juveniles charged with damaging vehicles

Criminal charges have been filed against four juveniles after windows were shot out of several vehicles at Rabun Lumber Yard in Thomson, authorities say.

Thomson Police Department Investigator Marcus Murray said each of the juveniles was charged with criminal damage to property and released to their parents.

The names of the juveniles were not released because of their ages.

Investigator Murray said the crimes occurred between Dec. 18 and Dec. 20.

Gene Gerlach Jr., a representative of Rabun Lumber Yard, told Master Sgt. Scott Whittle that he received a call from Mr. Gerlach in reference to damage to property at the business on Dec. 20.

The windows of several vehicles parked under a shed had either been broken out or shot out by what appeared to be a BB gun, Investigator Murray said.

A trailer also was damaged.
