Mr. Jason W. Kennedy

RAYMORE, Mo. - Mr. Jason William Kennedy, 16, passed away December 5, 2010. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Rock Brook Church, St. Belton, MO. Burial was in Raymore Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 32 for a camp scholarship or the Leukemia Society. Jason was born February 19, 1994, in Kansas City, MO. Jason was a sophomore at Ray-Pec High School, member of Rock Brook Church, an Eagle Scout an Boy Scout Troop 32. Jason always enjoyed serving others and the Lord. He spent many nights working the sound board at Rock Brook Church for the youth group band. He also worked two sessions of Rotary camp helping disabled people have a great time at camp and was looking forward to working a third. Jason loved camping, playing and serving with Boy Scout Troop 32. He spent a lot of time mastering the art of crappie and bass fishing. He also enjoyed skeet shooting with family and friends in Harrisonville. Fish may be able to relax, but his family and friends will miss him very much. He is survived by his parents, Darren and Rebecca; grandparents, Ronald and Shirley Kennedy, Carole and John Strube, and Helen Prather Phillips of Dearing; great-grandmother, Wilma Kennedy and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, MO, was in charge of arrangements.
