Mr. Donald Wade Hicks

THOMSON, Ga. - entered into rest January 1, 2011, at his
residence.
Mr. Donald W. Hicks, 76, was the husband of Mrs. Shirley Ann
Briggs Hicks for over 35 years. Mr. Hicks a native of North Carolina
was retired from Eastern Air Lines and proudly served in the U.S.
Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Additional survivors include: Stepson: Virgil Ray Widener,
Jr., Two daughters, Teresa West (James), Linda Barlow, Two Step
daughters: Angela Widener, Donna Bowen. Two brothers: William
Hicks (Beverly), Charles Hicks (Polly), Sister: Jean Hensley (John),
One stepsister: Joyce Franklin, 13 grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted Tuesday at 3 pm at Washington
Heights Baptist Church Rev. Rodney Peavy officiating.
McNeill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
