Defendants plead not guilty to drug-trafficking charges

Four people accused of trafficking in illegal narcotics were among several defendants pleading not guilty during arraignment proceedings in McDuffie County Superior Court in Thomson last week.

Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Harold A. Hinesley presided over the cases.

Jarvis Johnson, Love Mays, Lincoln Clint McGahee and David Larry Bales pleaded not guilty to violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Mr. McGahee also pleaded not guilty to separate criminal charges against him. In that case, he claims to be innocent on charges of rape, aggravated assault and burglary.

In unrelated cases, the following defendants pleaded not guilty to various criminal charges:

Tiffany Hope Hinton, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Shaun Derrick Langford, five counts of issuing bad checks;

Brian Merrick Poindexter, driving under the influence and open container violation;

Glentraytis Carlos Elam, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, driving while license suspended and driving with an improper registration;

John Henry Cummings, theft by taking;

Angela Dawn Hall, theft by taking;

Chris Lee Griffith, four counts of issuing bad checks;

Marion Huey Wood, one count of issuing a bad check;

Selina Leann Edmunds, possession of marijuana;

Kevin Thompson, theft by taking;

Demetrius Dominick McCord, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, driving while license suspended or revoked, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, DUI, open container violation, speeding, weaving over the roadway, operating a vehicle bearing an improper license plate, no proof of insurance and reckless driving;

Tremayne Bernard Bradshaw, affray;

Knikia Franklin, three counts of forgery in the first degree;

Travis Martin, three counts of forgery in the first degree;

Kim Lott, pointing a gun or pistol at another and discharging a gun near a highway or street;

Richard Harry Hathcock, DUI, DUI less safe and failure to carry a license;

Antwone Terrell Story, theft by shoplifting;

Johnny Earvin Lane Jr., aggravated battery;

Jamal D. Taylor, aggravated battery;

Joseph Nathaniel Lonergan, cruelty to children in the first degree and false imprisonment;

William Ike Marlow Jr., aggravated assault, simple battery, two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree, possession of methamphetamine, possession of hyrdocodone, possession of clonazepam, possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended or revoked;

Steven Wayne Blackwell, aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the third degree and criminal damage to property in the second degree;

Jerome A. Bowdry, simple battery;

Timothy Ward Hill, two counts of criminal trespass and simple battery;

Jamie Lyanne Braddock, theft by taking;

Geoffrey Peter Graham, two counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated child molestation;

Rodney Holden Rogers, three counts of theft by taking;

Kevin Elliott Gaines, criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark and theft by receiving stolen property;

Quinton D. LaCount, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, driving while license suspended and safety belt violations;

Terilynn Stephenson Paulk, possession of oxycodone and possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute;

Bobby Anthony Speaks, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

Eddie David Brockington, failure to register as a sex offender;

Cathie Rebecca McNutt, burglary;

Benjamin C. Fuller, theft by deception;

Mitchell Walden Hall, three counts of criminal damage to property in the first degree;

Harvey Lee Murphy, three counts of criminal damage to property in the first degree;

Reginald Lacormey Hudson, six counts of burglary;

Gene Alexander Reese, six counts of burglary;

William Rashad Wyche, three counts of burglary;

Reco Melvin Jackson, possession of contraband by an inmate;

Darryl Lucas Jr., one count of child molestation and one count of aggravated child molestation;

Josuha Reese, two counts of burglary;

Candyann Marie Taylor, entering an automobile and one count of financial transaction card theft;

Tiffany Rene Webb, entering an automobile and one count of financial transaction card theft;

Cedrick Bernell Smith, crossing guard lines with drugs, possession of marijuana, interference with government property and two counts of obstruction against a law enforcement officer;

Travist Ray Benson, theft by taking;

Johnny Jerome Brown, two counts of theft by taking and driving while license suspended or revoked;

Four persons pleaded not guilty to the following charges: armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. They are: Megan Tara Millwood, Keith Dell Nelson, Walter Parker Jr. and Irving Tyrell Schultz.

Other defendants pleading not guilty to various charges were:

Wayne Allen Neal, two counts of possession of prohibited items by an inmate;

Heather Marie Thaxton, eight counts of obtaining a controlled substance by theft;

Eric Charrod Gay, nine counts of entering a motor vehicle;

Jackie Jermaine Harris, nine counts of entering a motor vehicle;

Reco Melvin Jackson, nice counts of entering a motor vehicle;

Frankie Lee Carter, theft by taking;

Reginald Charles Reese, theft by taking;

Patrick Reynoldo Welch, theft by taking;

Dameon Shanchez Anderson, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Deangelo D. Barbour, possession of marijuana;

Quantavious McGahee, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Phillip Aaron McIver, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Brian Morris Walker, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;

Christopher Bernard Walker, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Melvin Jerome Belton, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended;

Tremayne Bernard Bradshaw, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Deon K. Brown, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Jason L. Jackson, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;

Donald Lorenzo Evans, three counts of obtaining dangerous drugs;

Donna Maria Washington, three counts of obtaining dangerous drugs;

Willie Lee Haynes Jr., possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

Joseph Steven Maddox, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute;

Sean Oscar Calvin Maddox, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute;

Travis Maurice Miller, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, giving false information to a law enforcement officer, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended and failure to stop for a stop sign;

Sardae Nakia Norman, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

Christopher Daniel Shedd, aggravated assault and obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Larry James Mance, possession of cocaine;

Octavis Antwon Wright, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Eddie Lewis Wright, theft by receiving stolen property and fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer; and

Kesha Ivey, two counts of issuing bad checks.
