Two Thomson men recently were sentenced in McDuffie County Superior Court after pleading guilty to criminal charges.
Ivan Bailey, of the 200 block of Ansley Drive, Thomson, pleaded guilty on Jan. 5 to a charge of simple battery, according to records filed in the McDuffie County Superior Court Clerk's Office.
Superior Court Judge Harold A. Hinesley sentenced Mr. Bailey to 12 months' confinement. The sentence is to run concurrent with a sentence he is serving.
In a separate case, Jarvis Johnson, of the 100 block of Kennedy Court, Thomson, was sentenced to 12 months for affray -- three months of which are to be served in confinement. Judge Hinesley also credited Mr. Johnson with time already served.
Mr. Johnson was also fined $200.
