Funds may support one-day programs or help with larger community humanities initiatives. Examples of programs eligible for funding include: a book/author presentation, a humanities speaker presentation (or a series of speakers), a humanities-theme festival, an oral history project, an exhibition or a community historic walking tour.

Programs must be free and involve humanities scholars.
