Mr. Willard "Bill" Vinson
DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Willard "Bill" Vinson, 85 of Dearing,
entered into rest January 3, 2011.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2011,
at the Dearing United Methodist Church with Rev. Kim Hancock
officiating. Interment followed in the Dearing Cemetery with
Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers were Don Clements, Tony Bowman, Lloyd Axon,
Allen Axon, Jeff Welch and Steve Miers. Honorary pallbearers were
Masons.
Mr. Vinson was born in Mt. Hope, Alabama and was the son of
the late James S. Vinson and the late Lillie Ann Bishop Vinson. He
was retired from Civil Service. Mr. Vinson was a U.S. Army veteran
of the Occupied Forces during World War II, a member of the
Harlem Lodge # 276 , a member of the A.J. Miller Lodge # 204 and
a member of Dearing United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: sons, James Vinson and wife, Jackie, David
Vinson and wife, Wanda all of Dearing, Alex Vinson and wife,
Debby, Hiram, GA; daughter, Jerrett Stiner and husband, Chuck,
Republic, Penn; brother, Bobby Vinson; sisters, Angeline Hargett,
Ella Rae Hill, Jackie Lamon; five grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren.
Mr. Vinson was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Helen Vinson
and daughter, Nancy L. Vinson.
Memorials may be made to the Dearing United Methodist
Church.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
