Mrs. Winnie Cosby Harbin
THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Winnie Cosby Harbin, 84, widow of
Mr. George Lewis Harbin, died, Monday, January 10, 2011, at her
residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 13,
2011, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Widener
officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery
in Wilkes Co.
Mrs. Harbin was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in
Thomson for many years. She was a retired store manager for Magic
Mart Store. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
She was a past member of the Thomson Camellia City Lions Club,
a member of the Disater Relief Team and a lifetime member of the
Ladies Auxilliary #6672.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. Thomas Cosby
and Mr. George Lewis Harbin, and her son, Tommy Cosby.
Survivors include her three daughters, Teddie Love and Marie
Kelley, both of Thomson and Laverne Hogan, Washington; her
two sons, Danny Cosby, Harlem and Tim Cosby, Thomson; 11
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jamie Hogan, Frankie Hogan, Mike Love, Daniel
Cosby, Ryan Cosby, Wayne Clark, Tyler Gowan, Heath Clark, Philip
Clark, Kevin Love, Jimmy Hogan, Josh Bosdell, and Jason Crook.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
