Mr. Edward 'Turkey' Lewis

WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Edward 'Turkey' Lewis, age 69, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital. He was born in Jenkins County, a retired employee of McKinney Concrete Co., was a member of the Waynesboro Lodge #274 F&AM, and the Pooler Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Lairscy Lewis; a daughter, Charman (Jamie) Adcock of Thomson; four sons, Tony (Helen) Lewis of Louisville, Johnny (Kelley) Lewis of Augusta, Timmy (Regina) Lewis of Grovetown, and Bo (Diane) Lewis of Thomson; two sisters, Martha Phillips and Jean Lewis Thompson, both of Millen; a brother, Emory Lewis of Rincon; ten grandchildren and a great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Millen, with the Revs. Finney Lighthouse and Jamie Archer officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen was in charge of arrangements.
