Mr. Grover Junior Jobes

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Grover Junior Jobes, 87 of Thomson,
entered into rest January 21, 2011. He was the beloved husband of
Kathryn "Kay" Jobes.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2011,
at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Matt Shelton officiating.
Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with full
Military Honors.
Mr. Jobes was born in Littleton, West Virginia and was the son of
the late Grover C. Jobes and the late Bertha Tuttle Jobes. He served
in the U. S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Jobes retired as a Master Sergeant of Combat Infantry after 24
years of service. Following his military service, he was the plant
manager of Polson Rubber and Warrenton Retreaders. Mr. Jobes was
a member of Thomson Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Kathryn "Kay" Hixenbaugh
Jobes; son, Glenn Melvin Jobes and wife Wanda; daughter, Linda
Diane Hardy and husband, Lamar all of Thomson; brother, Harley
Jobes, Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Lora Christian, Stacy Taylor,
Steven Jobes, Brad Jobes, Douglas Jobes, Christian Taylor, and
twelve great grandchildren.

173, Thomson, GA 30824.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
