THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Jennie B. Cruz, 86, widow of Mr. Eloy S.
Cruz, died Friday, January 28, 2011, at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, in
the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Cook officiating.
Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Cruz was a native of Gardner Colorado, lived most of her life
in Fountain, Colorado and had lived in Thomson for a few years.
She was retired from Civil Service from USAF Academy in Colorado
Springs, Co. She attended the Thomson Presbyterian Church. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy S. Cruz.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Veronica (Jim) Baggett,
Thomson, and Mrs. Lillian (Paul) Torres, Fountain Co.; a son,
Lloyd C. "Casey" (Emma) Cruz, Douglas, Az.; a sister, Theresa
Barela and a brother, David Barela; eight grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alan Gheesling, William Guiney, Adam
Baggett, Paul Torres, Steve Palmer, and Jack Garrison. Donations
may be made to the Thomson Presbyterian Church Youth Group.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
