Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lynam, and Mr. and Mrs. David Smith, all of Wrens, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren F. Lynam, to Christopher D. Stewart, son of Mr. Denny Stewart of Keysville and Ms. Karen Stewart of Dearing. The wedding is planned for 5:30 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Perry's Landing in Hephzibah.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Lamb of Wrens and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lynam, Sr. of Monroeville, New Jersey. She is a 2006 graduate of Thomas Jefferson Academy and a 2010 graduate of Augusta State University with a bachelor of science in biochemistry.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Newsome of Thomson and Ms. Shirley Stewart and the late Mr. James Stewart of Keysville. He is a 2004 graduate of Thomas Jefferson Academy. Chris is employed by All Star Concrete of Wrens.


Mrs. Connie Richards is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Leslie Eleanor, to Jason Alexander Hart, son of Mr. Guy Hart of Beaufort, S.C., and Ms. Donna Hart of Dawsonville, Ga.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Mr. George F. Richards of Thomson. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frances Hobbs of Thomson and the late Mr. Lester Hobbs of Stapleton, the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Richards Sr. of Thomson. A graduate of Thomson High School, she received a bachelor of science in hotel and restaurant management from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. She is currently employed by First Data Corporation.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pruitt, Mrs. Ann Hart and the late Mr. Billy Hart, all of Summerville, S.C. A graduate of Lamar County Comprehensive High School, he received a bachelor of business administration in finance from Valdosta State University in Valdosta. He is currently employed as a branch manager for Wells Fargo Bank in Marietta, Ga.

The wedding will be held April 30, 2011, at the Bowden-Johnson House. The couple will make their home in Atlanta.
